Stanley Robinson is in his senior year as a Forward for the UConn Huskies. He became interested in basketball as a youngster from watching it on television. “As a little kid you just want to play every sport possible, and I got hooked on basketball.”
Stanley’s most memorable game so far at UConn was when he scored 32 points against the University of Maine last season.
It was a “no brainer” when it came to deciding to come to UConn for Stanley “Once I found out how Coach Calhoun runs his program, and knowing that UConn is a great academic school so I’ll have my education to fall back on, there wasn’t a lot of thought needed. UConn feels like a second home.”
The transition from high school to college was OK. “I know UConn is the best place for me. It’s like every day life. You have to adjust to the decisions you make, and I feel like I made a great decision coming to UConn.”
Final Four Bound: When asked what it will take to get to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Final Four this year Stanley said, “Guts, determination, heart, and team work.”
