Brittany Hunter is in her senior year as a Center/Forward for the UConn Huskies.  She started playing basketball when she realized a scholarship would help her obtain a college education.

Brittany’s most memorable moments have been the whole college basketball experience.  She transferred to UConn after her freshman year at Duke.  “The best memories have been being at two different schools making a lot of different friends, traveling and meeting people combined to make the best experience for me so far.”

“I chose to come to UConn because of the family-like atmosphere on the team.  It seemed like everybody was down-to-earth, from the coaching staff to all of the members on the team.”

The biggest change relating to basketball that Brittany has encountered from high school to college is the players’ physical strength.  “There are lots of little things that you never thought about before like how much you need to be aware of your eating habits.”

Final Four Bound:  Brittany is looking forward to reaching her first National Collegiate Athletic Association Final Four during her senior year at UConn with the goal of winning the National Championship.
